tents

So we've been shopping for tents lately - and we've decided on one finally! :)

I'm happy about having somewhere to stay for the two weeks we'll be down on the Prom. I'm starting to pool things in my head regarding what needs to be taken and how they need to be stored etc.

I'm happy we're in a tent that will be bug proof - I would hate to find another spider in a pocket or something. I'm definately thinking of buying some plastic containers to store clothes in - mostly to keep things flat and tidyish cause living in a tent for two weeks can be a pretty crowded affair if it's not. It'll be really fun doing the practise run setting up the tent! No pressure like there'll be down there to get it up before it's really dark! :)

As you can tell - I'm pretty excited about the whole time down there!

Holidays!

woof

we may be getting a chocolate labrador.

called Boston.

I'm excited. :) We're getting a big-animal-family without trying here. I wonder what this means.

TC will be glad and jealous at the same time. Attention jealous.

This is what a chocolate lab looks like. Funny and cute.

It's a boy though, but at least that will balance the family out (it's 2 girls to one atm)

It's official

My friend Erandi is engaged. Yay! They're having a big 'go out and celebrate' this Saturday night - but I'll be at U2 which we've been waiting all year to go to. Actually we've been waiting since this time LAST year to go - cause one of the U2 family members got sick and they postponed the tour.

I'm going to another wedding Saturday for a long time friend Anna. I haven't met her man though - she's been in Europe for ages and I haven't seen her for about that long. Still it'll be a busy fun day I think.

In short - cause it won't let me post it - I really liked Garden State, more than I liked Lost in Translation. And I refuse to re-write my post. If you're interested in what I had to say frop me a note and I'll email it to you. I'm guessing no one will cause I wouldn't either.

adding a post

why!?! It will probably work this time and let me post.

*bleah*

So, I've made Franklin a page, and he's started uploading - so check it out I've added him as a link there on the right! >>

(happy now?)

Hopefully he'll start adding images of what he's talking about - as I know he has them.

I still haven't quite decided what kind of content I'm putting here yet - but I think it's a good start if I post all the cute pics I have on my PC at the moment. I'm joking. Well, not exactly, I'm not going to do that all at once.

I was thinking I'd put poems here - or maybe fictional writings. I could do that over at my DeviantArt site - but I don't really like the way you put writing up there. Love it for keeping all my pictures though. It's awesome for that.

So I may do that - I may also add my thoughts on 'Garden State' and 'Lost in Translation' which I have seen for the first time recently (yeah - slow I know.)

Till then.

Laughing

This was my reaction when I found out this blog was still here, after giving up on it in Feb this year as a lost cause (it didn't work) and coming back to it now (Nov):

HAAA HAHAHAHAAAHAHAHA hehehehee eee! Classic.

So I'm back. And I'll keep coming back I reckon.

If you haven't - you should watch Aria. It's like going on holiday without moving. It's one of the most beautifully constructed stories, simplistic in nature but not shallow. You just have to relax into it and it will charm you. Plus the soundtrack is amazing.

so, my first BLOG POST...

hmm. I had a quick look around the net for blogging-type hosts - this one looked nice and was one of the first to bring blogging into popular culture making it the very large, hairy animal it is today.

Not that it's a bad animal - dogs can be big and hairy (well, most of them are hairy) - and actually - after watching P&P (Pride and Prejudice) the BBC version I decided I quite liked great danes - but you have to have a very large house and a very large 'estate' to be able to stand having something that large and that doggy-natured living under your roof.

I'm kinda jumping around here - but this is my way somedays.

Today, for example, I've jumped from wanting to start a blog to not. I'm not indecisive - sometimes, however, I get a bit 'mood jumpy' I think it's one of those things girls put down to 'girlishness' but I'm not excusing myself totally.

So. Just to clarify - this blog will be a journal for me of sorts - I don't know how long I'll be able to update consistently for - but I'm hoping it'll be at least a while.

This weekend I beat the 'god's temple' boss in Zelda (Windwaker - GC) - I am hoping to finish this game before the new Zelda comes out. I have been stuck on this boss since before moving house, before getting married and before my life got super busy that I haven't picked it up again to try for about 4-5 months. I was very happy, and couldn't stop thinking about playing more all day Sunday (which is when it was that I beat the pig-rock like thing)

However, Sunday I was thrown in the deep end having to run the overheads and AV stuff for church by myself, never having done it all before. I went ok - ok enough to be proud of myself over the top of the usual voices that try to work it so I failed miserably. I didn't fail - and there was no reasoning that could be worked to make me feel bad! Yay me.

Well, that's about the excitment for the moment - except that I keep getting 'could not connect to blogger.com'... is this on of those - service don't come for free things?

edit: obviously the connection failed me and I wasn't able to post this yest... *shrugs* It's still saying that... I'm trying though.
